Ted's Last Stand is located at the top of First Street at the Charlottesville City Market. Our primary offering is the finest, freshest, sustainably and locally grown specialty cut flowers in the area. We also have a seasonal selection of specialty vegetable crops including salad green mixes, broccoli raab, beets, heirloom tomatoes, edamame, and more.
In addition to our flowers and produce, we usually have a few dozen eggs from our small flock of free ranging, pasture raised (natural grain supplemented) hens -- get to the market early for these! Early in July we extract the honey from our bee hives, bottle it, and have it for sale throughout the rest of the season. Our honey is local to Louisa County and is raw/unpastuerized.
Limited quantities of Rico and Ferdie's special "garden gold" Llamanure are available at the market. Call or email Ted's Last Stand if you want to place a special order for a specific market day pick-up. You can also purchase our book, The Joy of Hobby Farming, at our farm stand.
At the Charlottesville City Market we also have unique handmade crafts: crocheted Strawberry Catnip Toys stuffed with our own home grown catnip; weather resistant hand-painted garden flags; original, suitable-for-framing, photo cards; and an ever changing selection of beaded jewelry.
We're there every Saturday from April through October! Here's a look at our Farm Stand throughout the Charlottesville City Market Season.
